I'm about halfway through it right now and I must admit I've found Hogg to be a slogg.

Its shock factor quickly wears off, it's the same shit page after page. The plot, if you can call it that, moves at a snail's pace as Delany describes rape after rape and blowjob after blowjob. Delany tries to make Hogg sound intimidating but I can't take a grown man pissing himself and wandering around with one boot seriously. All of the characters are one dimensional and boring. I just don't see the appeal of this book at all.

If you want shocking, erotic horror then read Dennis Cooper or de Sade, they do it best.
