I can't believe how big the Hindu corpus is. Familiarizing myself with some essential text I am thrown down a rabbit hole of footnotes of dozens of other essential texts, which in turn reference even more essential texts.
Are Christians insecure that they have 1 book while Hindus literally have hundreds?

We literally have 800 years of patristics. That alone beats the Hindoo corpus. On top of that, we have the Dead Sea Scrolls, Nag Hammadi, odes, canticles and prayers from antiquity. And that's just the start of it. We get heaps of literature in the Middle Ages -- St. Photius, Eriugena, St. Anselm, Petrus Abelard, Petrus Lombard, St. Albertus Magnus, St. Thomas Aqquinas, Bl. John Duns Scotus, Eckhart, Ockham, Cusanus, Ficino, etc. And all of that is before the Reformation. Don't forget all the wonderful paintings, sculptures, architecture, ceramics, engraving, music, novels, poetry, and fables that were composed by multiple peoples spanning from Ireland to Armenia and from Spain to Novgorod. I heard from others that even the most esoteric and powerful Buddhist meditations practices don't even reach the spiritual level of your average Byzantine Sunday mass.

those are commentaries on the orthodox tradition, ie pretty much commentaries on what is already established through the gospels. In Hinduism what is orthodox as primary texts is far greater in number.

They have lots of writing too, why is your first thought when encountering Hindu writings the idea of whether Christians are insecure or not? Posting about that creates needless discord

My "religion" is truth. Every text in the world falls under its purview. Because of this association, I am greater than you

If you mean the Vedas, then yes the Vedas are longer than the Gospels. But that's a trite and uninteresting point which doesn't have the same provocative spice that the OP had. Even then there's only like four or so Vedas - Ṛgveda, Samaveda, Yajurveda and Atharvaveda. That's exactly the number of canonical Gospels.

if Christians want to be offended let them be. For myself, I only use scathing rhetoric to bring up an interesting comparison between 2 things because that is the mode of this board. If you were to correct every poster for being rude on this board there would be no discussion at all. Plus, the infighting between Jnana and Christianity is usually when this board is at its most interesting and informative so if anything you should be thanking me .

Christianity isn’t capeshit. They didn’t make numerous sequels like marvel movies do. They know when to stop.
