Any suggestions for books that actually made you look forward/optimistic towards your future? That brought you hope and direction?

I feel like pessimism and accepting reality gave me more peace.

Same, coming to terms with everything made me feel better for some reason.

Accepting reality is great and very important, but we all should have things, experiences and relationships to strive for

Feeling constantly pessimistic is like a dark cloud of negative thoughts that keep you stuck in the reality of your thoughts.
So it's my choice to change that and look forward to other things instead.

Other one is a memester trying to make it seem like a shill. It’s good and a lot better than CotC in my opinion.

I'm still not quite sure which book you're referring to.
Is it the Call of the Cradle, Cherokee, Arcade, Kappa or Crocodile or am I completely missing you're point

to expand it starts off really gloomy. Without spoiling the plot the main character becomes more whitepilled as the adventure in the story goes on. Mostly because he come into contact with the villain character who makes him realize how fucked up some of his life choices were. It's dark like Call of the Crocodile but ends up being very upbeat toward the end. It's essentially a seperate story than Crocodile. I read Crocodile before Jigoku but other than it starting in Chicago there's not too many connections.

Jigoku. I've only read Call of the Crocodile and that one. The others might be good too but I haven't read them yet.
