Is it worth a read?

Yes. Books by men in power are always interesting (except US presidents, those are just marketing)
Although I expect this one to be very sanitized.

It must be amazing to be Xi Jinping. He's the most powerful person on earth, possibly ever. The lives of a billion people are in his hands. The young generations grow up literally worshipping him in their classes... this dude has it made. It's like if Hitler won or like Stalin after WWII, but with a weaker USA.

is this another one of those situations where Steve Jobs said that Autobiography of a Yogi was his favorite book and then his best friend was like
>I don't even think he finished it, I can name 5 books Steve likes more than Auto of a Yogi. But I can also see why he would want people to THINK it was his favorite book
?

yes. xi is a well educated scholar who is capable of writing compelling literature and fleshing out his way of thinking without use of a ghostwriter. of course there will always be something lost in translation compared to reading the work in its original language

I called it Fascist, I didn't say don't read it retard. Marx isn't a "materialist" in the ordinary sense. He's a Hegelian and a humanist and pic related understood as much before the Paris Manuscripts even got leaked and the USSR silently tucked them away.

The only thing you can argue with me is which "Marx" is the real real Marx.

>Religion, family, state, law, morality, science, art, etc., are only particular modes of production, and fall under its general law. The positive transcendence of private property as the appropriation of human life, is therefore the positive transcendence of all estrangement — that is to say, the return of man from religion, family, state, etc., to his human, i.e., social, existence.

>For [crude communism] the sole purpose of life and existence is direct, physical possession. The category of the worker is not done away with, but extended to all men. The relationship of private property persists as the relationship of the community to the world of things.... This type of communism – since it negates the personality of man in every sphere – is but the logical expression of private property, which is this negation.... The community is only a community of labour, and equality of wages paid out by communal capital – by the community as the universal capitalist. Both sides of the relationship are raised to an imagined universality – labour as the category in which every person is placed, and capital as the acknowledged universality and power of the community.

I still don't get what he means.

>> No.19097813

>>19097622
he means that the transcendence of private property means the transcendence of family.
he means that the Stalinist conception of socialism* doesn't exceed the first crude communism of the Conspiracy of the Equals, where private property and capital aren't transcended but generalized from relations of particular workers to particular capitalists into a relation of everyone as workers to communal capital, with the community acting as an abstract capitalist.
those are just two examples of statements that would make Stalinists reluctant to publish the work, since they defended bourgeois family and they reduced socialism to a banal public ownership of capital.

*of course we're only talking about the conception, because in reality the USSR never even reached the level of realized crude communism.
