I was watching this documentary about HP Lovecraft

https://youtu.be/FUFnNx0fSm0

And it covered the theory that he was actually transgender and in denial. As detailed by how he called himself a girl when he was young and wore girls clothes for years, and when older absolutely hated how he looked

Could this transgenderism be one of the defining facets that led to her works featuring so much fear of the unknown?

While it could be made a case for him to be trans, there's no evidence to back it up.

the conclusion of acknowledging the feminine side of the spirit equates to transgenderism.

Never happened, it was either
1)His mother forcing him
2)That time's fashion

On top of that

>and when older absolutely hated how he looked
Literally nothing about this implies being "transgender"
In 1918 the trade publication Earnshaw’s Infants’ Department claimed the “generally accepted rule is pink for the boys, and blue for the girls. The reason is that pink, being a more decided and stronger color, is more suitable for the boy, while blue, which is more delicate and dainty, is prettier for the girl.”

yee i also watched it, it sounds contrived af, but it wouldnt be shocked if it was actually the case.

like 30% of /pol/ and /lit/ is trans or in denial at this point. Sometimes i ask myself on why anyone would visit 4chan if they arent trans.

That just sounds like mild transvestism. "Gender", at least in the (post) modern sense, is basically just pseudoscience.

Since we got a thread w/ this chap. Is there any other (non-Lovecraft) novels/series based around Cthulu that are any good? Obviously CoC is based but too short and needs more.

Even giving all of your claims a pass, if he were a sexual deviant, we should look back at his works and appreciate how he managed to channel whatever agitations of the mind he had into outputting culture and overcoming his own demons, not indulging in them and ultimately becoming nothing more than a useless sack of bones to be paraded by some future mentally-ill history revisionists with no will of their own to built something and elevate themselves from the ditches of hedonism.
