>Start reading the New Testament
>Jesus is extremely condescending and not comfy at all

You all lied to me. How do I even convert if I don't like the prophet's attitude?

>> No.19060938

You convert to a religion because you believe it's true, not because you like its tenets. This is a very common mistake.

>> No.19060939

condescending is when you talk down to people. How can you not talk down to people when you're a literal incarnation of the one true god?

Matthew 18:6
"But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea."
Sounds based to me, goes against the stereotype that faggots push nowadays claiming pic related.

There are lots of times Jesus is (understandably) pissed, disappointed, stressed, and sometimes even derisive of his opposition and the sinful generation he walks among.
However, you also get the Beatitudes, and the resuscitations, and the times he talks to his inner apostles, etc.
You have to understand that while wholly God, Jesus was a man, he had emotions, and I believe being disappointed in mankind is very reasonable.
He is always forgiving.

Jesus was never a pacifist, most people don't understand this because most people have barely read the bible, if at all. I'm speaking of both Christians and non-.

Faith is not supposed to be comfortable, nor peaceful; honour is; this is why any Christian with honour is at peace with the fact of being at war against the enemy.

I did not notice this post of yours at first.

>Jesus said forgive your enemy.
No, he did not; Jesus promoted cordiological forgiveness of those whose hearts were corrupted/perverted, but still redeemable —id est: not yet totally consumed by darkness; the true enemy should be totally destroyed, not forgiven —this is obvious to any sapient person, and much more so to any Christian.

it's pretty clear
>if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
there's no excuse for not forgiving your enemies, after all Jesus says
>Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you

You interpret the word "enemy" erroneously & frivolously, like a "Protestant" would; "enemy" is not synonymous with: "adversary", or with: "rival".

It's got nothing to do with interpretation of the word "enemy". Once again:
>if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Psalm 97:10

The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.

Yes, it does.

>Where does it say enemies, however you want to define it, are exempt from forgiveness?

1. Requisite for receiving forgiveness is redeemability.

2. Not everything needs to be, nor will everything until the end of the world be, concisely explicated in order to be known.

In conclusion, the Christian is incapable of finding Christ's words in the Gospels that condone his unwillingness to forgive his enemies. Don't forget:
>if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses
Fascinating the efforts they'll go to in order to get one around Jesus.
