I've been reading some news. The main view of China, at least here where I am, is simple: soulless bugmen.
But I want to know if it's real without being called a wumao shill for asking questions. So I'm looking for books.

Books about how it is to live in current China. Books on their economy, on the ruling party CCP. I'm not looking for some genocide or protest shit, I'm looking for actual life of the mainland Chinese from the cities like pic related. I can't believe there's nothing more to that than CCTV cameras with face recognition and workins 20 hours a day like some people say. I want to know more. I want to know the truth.
