Miller was a coomer

If you want top tier Miller go with Colossus of Maroussi. I believe it is one of, if not the greatest travelogues ever written and one of the finest books I've ever read.

I read it years ago. I remember a description of a French whore's pubic hair and the final pages, which are moving.

Just finished it yesterday. The prose was beautiful and he was an egomaniac (as all great writers should be) but it didn't live up to it's opening claim of being "anti-literature" or whatever. The only level it really worked on was showing how masturbatory and meaningless the bohemian scene was, by how masturbatory and meaningless his life was. There were some nice moments, and I respect his aversion to telling a story, but really it never quite did enough.

Coomer lit.

>> No.18948112

In my view its importance has more to do with what it represented than its writing quality. I enjoyed reading it years ago but have no desire to come back to it. There’s some cool
moments.
