Yes whats a good alternative

I like the idea of a scientific romp through geological time centered on mankind, which this book did first, but this book has too many crackpot theories and pseudoscience.

What do you mean pseudo science you fucking retard, it's literally about history. What a dumb fuck.

Op don't listen to these fucking retards, if you aren't familiar with most of history, homo sapiens is an interesting attempt to create a full picture of the evolution of humanity from the most ancient times based on what we know nowadays.

R. Christian's Maps of Time is an amazing read on the same kind of topic. The search term for this genre is Big History/Anthropology. Am an anthropologist and reading the real shit is my day to day.

History is a science you idiot. You need sources to make a claim about history, historians don't just make shit up, they need to reason through the scientific method, so they analyze the sources, they develop a theory and then they expose it to the academic community

>pre-revolutionary russia was super good bro, trust me
I really wish he just focused on the confirmables instead of wandering into schizo territory all the time. I agree with the core idea, and the people involved (overwhelmingly jewish) have done all kinds of shady stuff. How deeply rooted and evil Rothschilds were in all the worst parts of European history. But then he just kinda discredits himself.

No it's too broad a book to get anything meaningful out of it.

If you're interested in genetic read Who We Are and How We Got Here by David Reich

For a narrower read about ancient cultures, particularly the Western cultures and Aryans, The Horse, the Wheel and Language by David Anthony is great.
