How do I reconcile that I have read this doctrine and believe it to be true but have no academy, no initiatic living tradition? No Eleusis, no Orphean cults, no Pythagorean circles, nothing?

What comes closest that isn't a LARP? I can't believe anything less than what was written down of Plotinus' doctrine.

Why do you need to join an extant tradition? Just practice on your own.

neo-platonism is already a quasi-religion, you will not find a religion out there which is not a bastardized version of it
but if you really want to join up something, try a gnostic group if there is one in your area or just become a catholic and follow their limited neo-platonist tradition

Probably Christianity. I wouldn't recommend it though.

You can either come to terms with the extinction of neoplatonism and develop a private or small-scale practice OR you can comprise what you "believe" and LARP as something you don't believe.
