Sometimes I get sad that a text I want to read isn't translated in English but it's usually just obscure religious documents so it's not essential to me

This is my main concern, the untranslated books can always be translated eventually. I routinely browse through book auctions and I find lots of interesting snippets of history in those lots - now long forgotten, not a single trace of them online
