I keep reading books hoping I can get the same feeling I got while reading Moby Dick but nothing hits as hard. Does anyone know anything similar?

What feeling was that?

Have you tried just reading more Melville? He wasn't a one hit wonder

I would try reading Call of the Crocodile or something. Not even joshing you. A book so different that it’ll change your outlook on literature.
Doesn’t have to be that. My point is read something that doesn’t really compare to anything else. Infinite Jest would be a close second. A book which stands in a genre of its own.
