I want to become a crazy good learner, that type of dude who makes so much progress on certain topics and skills in a short period of time that it makes you feel stupid. What books can teach me that, and what advice do you have to offer.

just do it. and don't obsess about useless methods and memes. that's just self-help, insectoid marketing consuming time you could spend on learning. the fact that you have this memey ideal to begin indicates you will likely never get anywhere and you'd be best served by forgetting this shallow aesthetic that you want to live.

Start with trivium, that’ll teach you to read what you want and articulate what you want. After that start reading regularly, also read that book on How to retain what you read, I think it’s called make it stick, so once you’re done with that you can over any topic you want and remember it.

deep work and atomic habits. But I think really it's just going to be the advice that deep down you already know. Make small positive adjustments over a long period of time and stick to them, and you are more effective when you focus entirely on the thing you want to get better at for long periods of time.

The habits of the brain builder:
>Coached Chess for fun with milestone progress, or have Russian parents who do that for you
>Keto diet, or just eat like a Russian
>Wim Hof breathing and cold exposure
>Or just walk outside in Russia
>Read the Classics and raise your Verbal IQ effective capacity (The Russians do this and your American lard ass does not)
>Having read a Classic Great Work of writing you can now transact or barter or discuss and exchange a new frontier of value with big brains instead of processing too much info on your own overloaded math boy style
>Have sex with Russians to increase your genetic descendant's DESIGN capacity
>One chance at life
>Not even Russian or Japanese or Chinese or Scandinavian
I blame you, Mom

Limiting the things you’ll learn to a specific topic list is a midwit cope created by those with an exceedingly poor natural desire for info and understanding. You cannot predict what you’ll learn or you would know it already.
