Penguin is a shit. They use low-quality pulp for paper, the glue dries out and stiffens fast, and the covers are made of rigid cardboard (and, combined with the cheap glue, the pages fall out). Their typesetting is usually crammed together and uncomfortable to read; the cover designs are generic and look like they were selected from random old public domain photographs.

If you don't care about any of the above, good on you. If you pirate online and don't buy books, great. Penguin is still shit.

Some of the book covers that get posted in these types of threads are the bullshit knockoff self-published printings of classics that get sold on Amazon. It's a common scam. It wouldn't even be an issue if the books were quality, but they're usually not full versions, or the text is barely readable, or has some other defect. Idk if that TBK version was sold online, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if it was. It's not the same as a bad cover being sold by a legitimate publisher though since those actually have to get approved by multiple people who supposedly know what they're doing

So when I was 14 I was obsessed with Divine Comedy, particularly Inferno. I collected images related Dante's Inferno, including this God of War ripoff on my hard drive. I got in to trouble because the teacher (whom I disliked) thought it wasn't a suitable game for kids.
