Do you agree with Marcus Aurelius that your beliefs shape how you react to things and that there's nothing "inherent" about how you react to the world/your circumstances and therefore you can change how you feel simply by changing your beliefs?

Currently Stoicism and Epicur and (i know it sounds silly) Ted Kacyznski, after that im moving into existentialism with Kierkegaard>Sartre>Camus

Ive only recently started, as ive decide i want to go to philosophy university (im 18), so i have kind of a baseline understanding about western philosophy, but id lovs to get into eastern aswell

This sounds like an offshoot of determinism?
