Why is islam "holy" texts quality so poor? Quran is all the same repetitive uninteresting boring trash quite obviously written by a schizo for retarded bedouins. It's all angryand pointless ramblings. Sometimes it rehearses Bible stories and usually can't get them right. Their quality is also much poorer. Ahadith are even worse, except as unintentional comedy material.
All in all that's probably the worst literature I ever had to read. I mean it really pains to go through such shit. You have to be clinically retarded to believe in islam after reading it.

That's your truth for you.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah loves sneezing but dislikes yawning;
so if anyone of you sneezes and then praises Allah, every Muslim who hears him (praising Allah) has to say Tashmit to him. But as regards yawning, it is from Satan, so if one of you yawns, he should try his best to stop it, for when anyone of you yawns, Satan laughs at him."

Islam smears itself very well.

Narrated Anas:

It was said to the Prophet "Would that you see Abdullah bin Ubai." So, the Prophet went to him, riding a donkey, and the Muslims accompanied him, walking on salty barren land. When the Prophet reached 'Abdullah bin Ubai, the latter said, "Keep away from me! By Allah, the bad smell of your donkey has harmed me." On that an Ansari man said (to 'Abdullah), "By Allah! The smell of the donkey of Allah's Apostle is better than your smell." On that a man from 'Abdullah's tribe got angry for 'Abdullah's sake, and the two men abused each other which caused the friends of the two men to get angry, and the two groups started fighting with sticks, shoes and hands. We were informed that the following Divine Verse was revealed (in this concern):-- "And if two groups of Believers fall to fighting then, make peace between them." (49.9)

When we Muslims hear of a command from Allaah, we must accept it and submit to it, even if the wisdom behind it is not clear to us, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allaah and His Messenger have decreed a matter, that they should have any option in their decision [al-Ahzaab 33:36]

Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, does not give any command without there being great wisdom behind it even if we do not understand it as He says (interpretation of the meaning): That is the judgement of Allaah. He judges between you. And Allaah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. [al-Mumtahinah 60:10]

Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, does not abrogate any rule except to replace it with something better or similar to it, as He says (interpretation of the meaning): Whatever Verse (revelation) do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring a better one or similar to it. Know you not that Allaah is able to do all things? [al-Baqarah 2:106]

Having understood this, we may note that the wisdom behind the changing of the Qiblah has several aspects, including:

It is a test for the true believer, because the true believer, unlike others, accepts the commands of Allaah. Allaah has spoken of this in the Quraan (interpretation of the meaning): And We made the Qiblah which you used to face, only to test those who followed the Messenger from those who would turn on their heels. Indeed it was great (heavy) except for those whom Allaah guided [al-Baqarah 2:143]

That's my main gripe tho, I'm a third worlder who's quite far away from the ME (went through Madrasa and all that stuff about memorizing juz amma & surahs just to pass the grade) and everyone around me is turning into araboos which is kind of funny considering that my race would be treated with bad prejudices by the arabs and other ME people, the arab language might have some truth in it, but as a meme, it is for me nothing more than that brahmin-pass for you to gain empty standing -- Allah doesn't speak arabic just like God didn't speak english, but this is the point, Quran is really heavy on the ear and hence it is tied so heavily on the arabic language as the authority for aesthetical judgement (Bible on the other hand is more about visual reading). Comparing it to the existing shamanic tradition that i could find at the recesses of this country I'm coming from it's pretty clear that the people here were preferring the Quran not because of the possibilty for literacy it could provide, but rather it provides them merely another possibility to reach that trance like state induced from auditory experiences, in other words, it's just a better lullaby for that deeper sleep.
I am not impressed.

Even Sanskrit sacred literature can be understood and enjoyed with translations and its a language older and more nuanced. Its hard to believe that Arabic, in this text which speaks in a colloquial manner and stuffs which arent as lofty as other sacred texts are lost in translation. The Quran is over and over speaking like "dont they see this sign of Allah" or "thus is the power of Allah" repeatedly and its hard to believe this claim that reading it in Arabic is somehow a totally different experience.
Look I get that the text is pretty prose-poetry-like but thing is we outsiders are not impressed with the core essential meanings we already understood from translations. If we are not even persuaded with the core meanings of the sentences do you think the poetic power in original Arabic can turn us around?
