I havn't read a book in 3 years. In my free time I bounce between reading twitter, 4chan, and watching youtube videos all day. I hate being a mindless zombie.
wat do?

>wat do?
Convince yourself that you will start reading some more, buy a couple of books or download them to your kindle, read a few pages and stop reading for the next 3 years. Rinse and repeat.

>mindless zombie
A mindless zombie wouldnt be aware of his wrong doings. You are a zombie with a mind, you are in what Freud called The death drive.
Maybe read Freud(s) , Jung, Lacan and so on. Psychoanalysis

I tried that with Mein Kampf. I only got 50 pages in, It didn't work. It only made me more skeptical of jewish controlled trade unions and worker strikes.

don't start with the greeks, start with genre fiction then go to high school curriculum core and then work your way backwards in time

Lurk literary corners/book discussions/book recommendation lists, for example, /lit/ and read fiction that seems interesting to you. Harder to do with nonfiction (hence all the start with the greeks memes around here) since most nonfiction books here build up on an long chain of past authors, but secondary sources help mitigate this somewhat.

And on top of all that you're so inbred you don't even know the difference between an author and a novel

strangely on the nose considering a girl I know doesn't know a damn thing about books but saying "mein kampf" in any literary discussion makes her roll on the floor laughing like as if her sense of humor was from the south park/newgrounds era.

The best thing you can do is to stop using those websites so frequently.

If you’ve got a local library, head there and check out what classification system they have (for example, mine uses the Library of Congress Classification System). Once there google the system and look through the topics until you find something that interests you. Then head to that section and find a few books. Or just skim through aisles. I’ve found some hidden gems by doing that. Plus it gets you out of your house / apartment / dorm for a bit.

You don’t even have to explore the “classics” first or whatever, just find something you’re interested in (you’re here, I know for a fact you have some neurotic obsession with something) and get a book about it or a similar topic.

I barely read any of the books I find interesting and the worst part is that I keep on ordering more books that i'll never read. Only 5 pages maximum if im lucky. Maybe i'll finally have the time to read it all, maybe I wont. God I hate this autism.
