Please recommend a book about teenage adventure, youthful stupidity, fun, and all that other shit. Something that makes me feel second-hand nostalgia.

The Last Picture Show by McMurtry. It's not as good as his Lonesome Dove series but it's exactly what you're looking for.

I don't give a fuck about philosophy, high ideas, or politics or any of that.
I just want to read some cozy books about runaways, young lovers and all that good stuff.

I wish I read this as a younger man. I think I would have inspired me to get laid more and savor the beauty of youth and passions and adventure.

It's a very strange book. It about two crazy young poets from Mexico, told from first person interviews and journals of those they met across their travels.

The first part is from their friend who falls in love with whore and they all run away together in white Cadillac to flee her vengeful pimp.

OP, you'd love it.

Just as a warning anon, I found this book to be pretty depressing , it's definitely not a light hearted adventure, many of the characters in this work are very unhappy. Don't know what the anon was saying about it making him want to get laid more, I believe one of the characters couldn't even get hard, and there's a full blown gay sex scene. Still a very good book, just might not be what you're looking for.

I'd rec Memoirs of Casanova, if only because he makes a point in the introduction of book 1 to say that this is supposed to be entertaining light reading, remembering the good times and laughing at the bad.
