I had this issue the other month after buying my new Amazon oasis kindle with leather case only £49.99 from Amazon.
Luckily the pdfs I got our low resolution and read on my new Amazon oasis kindle, even jungs red book read on it. Keep it pdf and go with the flow, jews did 9/11

Nothing will come out clean unless you do lots of editing yourself. Just hunt for an epub for convert a mobi or kfx file

Because I can read pdfs on my browser, but epubs I have to read in an ''''app'''' my computer has, and I can only have one open at a time, and I can only click back and forth through pages one at a time so it's pretty annoying.

It's faster to convert and epub to pdf than to figure out how to read it on a computer.

It's good for editing metadata too if you use an ereader.

Download Apprentice Alf's DeDRM plugin from github and use Calibre.

The reason that a PDF > anything-text-based conversion doesn't work is because this conversion is either using the text layer (which many PDFs lack, or have poorly OCRed ones) or OCR it themselves into an epub. OCR can only analyze words, and while it sometimes gets the headers, footers, footnotes, etc. correct, it often doesn't get these right, and it also often has typos. You're better off using software to batch-crop the PDF pages into a more readable size. I believe k2pdfopt is an example of a program that does this.
>>17682536
Not really. Maybe if you're only reading one book that was originally an epub, but downloading something like Sumatra or Calibre isn't particularly complicated, provided you're running Windows. On Linux, I'd recommend MuPDF or Zathura using the MuPDF backend, and on Android I'd recommend something like Moonreader just because of the plethora of features. I don't know what OSX or ChromeOS have, but with a modern Chromebook you can just use the Linux options.

genuinely amazed by how incompetent /lit/ is with technology. You act like boomers who have never used the internet in your life.
