Seriously what's the point of life? Love? Is that the greatest thing to strive for? I'm tired. Ass chasing is not fulfilling I'm beginning to realize. Neither is money chasing.

The "purpose" or "point" to life is not some specific object-centred thing. Though language can arrive closest to it with statements like "to follow God" or such, but you simply are on the wrong road trying to condense it into a sentence, before you even know it yourself. But by and far am I not advocating for a relativistic "create your own meaning bro!"

As Plato rightly knew, beauty is often the first path on our way to the purpose of our lives.

Ass chasing belongs to the Earth Mother, it is a mere animal ideal that has been proliferated into obscenity by the introduction of Yoga Pants and mans reckless abandon to the sensuality and beauty of woman. Modern Man is chasing an Animal ideal and he will return to an Animal state. See: African Races.

Money chasing belongs to your need of it to live in this modern Era as the Economy has accelerated out of control into the only tangible Ideal.

The point of life is what you do. If you do nothing, your life is nothing. If you do plenty that doesn't involve anybody, then your life is something no one knows about. If you do plenty that influences a lot of people, then your life is something many will know about.

Whether you're cringe while doing stuff or don't care about doing stuff hence being nothing, you choose what you want to be.

Thanks for the responses, /lit/. I don't come here often but I do like to ask you guys philosophical questions from time to time. I don't feel very good. I've always chased my passions but I'm realizing some of those endeavors do more harm than good. Life is hard and weird and I'm just trying to cope. Also sorry for the blog.

Symposium. But pretty much all of Plato anyway.

Read the artists of tragic Greece. Homer, Hesiod, Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides are essential. Any great artist though.

Currencies of all kinds become like pointless cold water in a bath that you want to get out of. Because like the bath, it exists by hopping in, sitting, and then hopping back out. All forms, books, money, women, even your own art. If you work by stacking it up and up, you will never actually be, because you are measuring all these things by the same metric that you are making some impenetrable plastic eternity - it will never be. Each small movement to halfway is interrupted by death while you still push beyond. That all is already inside a single point, and you need to spread out your own being across everything you possibly can, for you, like the sun. Every time I find myself longing, I sink into dread. Only when I realize that I must, can, will do what I do, is when it is good.

It's not bad if that's the intent, as I said they are superficially good, but it's not high art which I suspect many anons seemingly take it for.

And to be clear, I don't mean these two photos you've most recently posted.

Will to power and poesis. The question you're asking, is literally the question Nietzsche asked himself when he realized that the loss of religion will leave humans without purpose.
Money chasing can be a decent goal, because it may indirectly lead to power. There is a difference between using money to make more money and increase your independence and influence, and using your money to buy a new sportscar though, that's why people are confused with this "money don't buy happiness" bullshit.

Make money.
Use money to seduce a highschooler.
Make 7 babies.
Raise your babies into strongwilled uebermenschen.
Die fullfilled with glorious bliss.
