How can anyone be deluded into thinking a communist revolution could ever happen? Workers don't even exist anymore and it's just the corporations and psy-op'd college kids that support Marxist thought

Do you live in the land of Cockaigne? In what country do the people not have to work?

"""Communist""" revolutions happened relatively recently in SE Asia. Or look at all the Commie warlords in postcolonial Africa. It can happen in shithole countries.

The proletariat has never been the revolutionary subject. If they were, communist revolutions would have happened in the West. More so, Marx's argument is a bit silly. The value of "work" is subjective; you do not have to treat it as a virtue; it is a means of existence. You do not have to value the lives of workers. Also, just because someone "works" doesn't mean we share common interests because there more to an individual than where they work. Most people in the west, especially the United States, don't even work full time jobs anymore.

Why would I give my life for a revolution when I can just learn a skill that makes me productive enough to enjoy the fruits of my labor? I don't need to be a revolutionary to get a cushy job. Society already gives me all the tools I need to succeed; I just need to have the will power to do what I want with my life.

It is something that will inevitably happen as labor becomes obsolete.

Communists can not invent an economy that works without wage labor, profit incentive or markets

who are the workers if labor is obsolete?

>> No.17467181

It already is obsolete, the recent year has proved this. The workers are anyone that receives a wage, as Marx defined it. There will be union of peoples that aim to achieve some ideal vision of society, but rather simply a coalition against labor.
