I can only think of three black authors I've read: Walter Mosley, Chester Hines, and Marlon James. Mosley is alright, his books are low quality noir basically. Hines was whatever. Marlon James' book (Brief History of Seven Killings) was garbage and he only won the Booker because he's gay and black. Black literature is mostly garbage.

He’s a bit of both imo. He’s a smart guy but a pretty standard garden variety free market liberal “conservative” and can’t really entertain anything beyond that. He’s not a Candace Owens by any means though.
