Might not always work tomorrow. I dont pirate books but I play emulated games, and every few years rom files get totally purged from the internet. They come back eventually, but who knows if that will always be the case.

If banning things that offend retarded college freshmen is a trend that keeps accelerating (I dont see why it wouldn't) it may start getting harder to obtain older books because they seem to want everyone to exist in a perpetual present. A new dark age isnt likely to happen, but it definitely won't if I still have a copy of everything in the western canon I personally give a shit about.

Because there will always be intrinsic value in owning your own paper copy of a book, that cannot be edited after the fact when its topic or its author becomes controversial, that still works when the power goes out, and that is your own personal property to do with as you please, and this will always be true no matter how hard you wish it weren't. e-books are easy to hoard because they're small sized. If you don't do it, a lot of other people do it. They will always be possible to find as long as there's Internet around. You just need to know where to look. If it doesn't show up on Google it doesn't mean it's purged.

I think it's fine to pirate anything though, when it comes to books I just don't find it worthwhile. I've read maybe three of the epubs/pdfs that I've ever downloaded.
