Bloom, because of his Jewish heritage has an obsession with the kind of Old Testament worldview present in the Quran.

Unlike the Bible, which has dozens of writers, writing across a time span of a thousand years, different genre's of literature, some low, some high, but all inspired by the ancient civilizations of the Near East.

The Quran, is a tasteless abominations and simply not literature. Everything in there is just twisted elements taken from the Bible, Church Father, the Talmud or other sources, it has no meaning, it has no beauty and it has no relevance.
