Some self-help books have been recommended, but if you want more general advice...pick hobbies that make you go outside, sports or gyms are good ideas as they will let you meet people with similar interests.

RL groups dedicated to activities are also great ideas, or workshops, a book club is an awesome idea.

Or volunteer, just check to see if a place is legitimate, and while some people are there just to pad out their resume or spend time and then say they are awesome people on Social Media, there are some genuinely awesome people who go volunteer and they are generally a lot more forgiving and caring.

After all, they are the people that notice the ills of society and actually spend their free time helping others for free...as for a girlfriend, there are some self-help books, and online dating, but ideally you should make your life richer and with a bigger social circle as it will make you more attractive to anyone.

And yes, i did say legitimate volunteering place, because we live in a world that isn't ideal, there are people who genuinely create fake organizations or places with the name of actual organizations so they can scam people into working for charity when they just really want to steal money for themselves, apply to a volunteering place ONLINE to not fall for this.
