Based and, in fact, redpilled.

Thats pretty much what it is. Unless you're interested in how politics works its not a particularly worthwhile read beyond being able to follow conversations about it.

Truthful, redpilled, based and something I apply to my everyday life.
The issue is that most people forget that philosophies are like keys, and genetics are the door.
People genetically predisposed to low empathy and high dopamine will find in Machiavellianism a great tool, while those possessed by guilt will have to look somewhere else.
Like this faggot

There's a great argument to be made that Machiavellianism, when properly applied, actually results in the least amount of suffering.

well, it does look like a dissapointment to me. thought it wasn't so centered around politics. i think i'll take Society of Spectacle then.

It is a book on how to mantain power, if you can't generalize his ideas into whatever model of power you currently find yourself in, then you are a fucking brainlet. Also, read it again, but instead of focusing on power, focus on who the prince actually is, machiavelli spends a lot of time explaining the characteristic of the ruler as an individual.

>> No.17148911

>>17148571
Possibly, it takes a special type of person to apply Machiavellianism while being concerned about its consequences to others, tho.
Some of sort of Fallen Paladin type of architype

It's a literal manual on how to rule, anon. These were things that were written often in the Medieval times. I think they called them Gray Mirrors or something.

Of course, in today's discourse, it is not enough to simply like some of an author's or political figure's ideas. You must *entirely* agree of them, and any one else is entirely wrong!

Redpilled, very useful, but badly misunderstood.

On the other hand I do like Frederick the Great's Anti-Machiavellil.

Of course, I forget to mention in my haste before lunch, that to simply read another's ideas means you entirely agree with them as well. It is not possible now to read and try to understand opposing views, you must make up your mind before hand and only read from those who support your view!
