Lol, by rejecting Bishops, the Eucharist, Baptism, Ecumenical Councils, Apostolic Succession, Mary as Theotokos, Catholicity, and the Church Fathers? Literally demons.

The reformation was ultimately good for the Catholic Church because it encouraged reform.
While there are plenty of good Protestant churches, it's also a breeding ground for heresy. History shows that the central authority of the vatican is flawed, but it's better than the current state of Protestantism, which has become a breeding ground for heresy as thousands of different people come up with their own interpretations and justifications. Modern Protestantism is doomed and needs to burn so that perhaps something good can be born from the ashes.

Calvin's concept of predestination would not be supported by either St. Aquinas nor St. Augustine.
>Catholics think all the reformers just decided to ignore everything before them.
This is absolutely what the reformers did. Except they also ignored everything else their fellow reformers did, resulting in all the different sects and confessions and so on.

Yeah she's also the reason I was never baptized. She totally lobotomized my father, who grew up in the church, and banished faith from the house. And for what? So I can get my values from TV and end up all fucked up? I'm thinking of becoming Orthodox anyway. You would unironically get along better and agree more with the Pope than I would.

Guess who has apostolic succession? The Catholic Church.

Aquinas completed philosophy by integrating it into its rightful position vis-a-vis the First Question - God. Theology and philosophy are always one, the Ancients understood this. Philosophy after Aquinas is basically just one long story of people being filtered either by being too dumb to understand what he said or because their fee fees got hurt by his conclusion.

yeah, nothing says internal consistency like reducing virtually the entire new testament to a mere metaphor, believing that only the apostles had special authority and none of their successors did, and claiming that the "real" faith simply disappeared for 1000+ years until a priest who broke his vows decided he knew better.

This is blatantly untrue. Anyone can pick up a Bible with annotations and have a decent idea of what's being said. Very few people have the discipline and schooling required to follow all of Aquinas's logical arguments.
