If you don't pay for any publications and you rely on free news sources then you're contributing to the downfall of journalism and support click-bait.

None. Fuck newspapers, they're all trash.

>> No.16902633

I don't read newspapers, but Foreign Affairs is required reading in my line of work, and it's one of the few magazines that hasn't gone down in quality. Sadly, most popular science journals (e.g. Nature) have worsened dramatically, so my non-literary reading comprises minor technical math and science journals (e.g. the Journal of Nonlinear Mathematical Physics) and rarely some hobbyist/photography magazines like Oceanographic Magazine.

Implying paid for newspapers aren't trash as well. I see your point, but the very reason that clickbait conspiracy bullshit is thriving is because the established media is so dishonest, patronizing and biased, that people had to flee.

Bias isn't inherently a bad thing if the paper is honest about it. In The Economist they're open about their opinions and biases and it's pretty refreshing. They don't pretends to just be stating facts, they actively support or criticise various politicians and explain their motivations behind it.
