Of what should i take notes when reading a book? Should i take notes of non-fiction? Can you recommend me a good way of taking notes outside the books since i'm mostly using a e-reader

You can take notes on an ereader, I don't like taking notes tho so I can't be of much help. Maybe highlight the important parts you need and get back to the page when you need to memorise it.

they look wrong
Write down definitions of important terms. Summarize important processes. Take down page numbers and quotes you want to remember.

Anything that piques your interest. Make notes of pages with content that grips you as you read and then come back to it later to see if it still has the same effect. Then see if you can figure out what's good about it. If you want more serious exercises, trying to summarise chapters you like in 50-150 words will help you retain the content and give you something useful to practise. You can do similar things by writing down logs of how you feel about certain characters as you read. Just avoid starting large projects on books, because you won't finish them and they'll make you hate reading. The key is little analyses which you can look back at later to see if you can reconstruct the principal themes and narrative of the text.

Thinking is important for learning
Not for every subject obviously but if you think properly you remember the concept and theories and the connections

Facts can be remembered through active recall
