>Read Chomsky so I can sperg about him if she asks about it in the exam

Do professors appreciate this or do you just pass off as a kiss-ass?

haha

It's not going to come off as kiss-ass to cite from the guy who fucking devised it, especially if she's mentioned him (wouldn't you be a little shocked if she didn't?).

But I'd only bother with further reading if it's a good part of the exam or something

I don't know if you're aware but in higher education it is common to learn about multiple theories, even if they contradict one another and even if you don't personally endorse them

I hope trump stages a Coup and nullifies the election. And then Chumpsky goes from apoplectic (like has a literal stroke) to dead. He spent the past two years chewing crayons and telling people to vote biden. Imagine his shock and horror when he finds out that didn't do jack shit and trump is president for life now. He would either stroke or seize on the spot.

I don't really like Chomsky, but I have to admit his refutation of Ski*nr's behaviorism was pretty kino.

I never met a linguistics professor who didn't think Chomsky is a hack.
