Normie author. In my opinion, his entire legacy is invalidated simply because he started the silly trend of authors refusing to capitalize their names.

My mom used to read him out loud to me as a kid. I don't know exactly why, but his words annoyed me so much I would scream at her to stop at like age 5. I hated poetry for a long time because I assumed all poetry was like his.

>he started the silly trend of authors refusing to capitalize their names.

Except he didn’t. A publisher did it on the cover of one of his books and that started a meme. He always spelled it E. E. Cummings.

I like him a lot. Ever read Eimi, his novel/essay/memoir about Soviet Russia? It’s great.

the diamond he gave her. Bill was put wise
that she was coming with his kid inside her.
He laughed. She came. he gave her a shove
and asked Eddie did he care to ride her?
....she exactly lay, looking hunks of love

In The Chair he kept talking about eyes
