Any recommendations for books about anything related to the detrimental effects of modern society on human wellbeing? i.e. rising mental illness, poor diets, lack of social connections/community, alienation from nature, internet/phone addiction, etc.

>poor diets
There's a book detailing the construction of the food pyramid, I don't recall the name right now. Basically, the final word was given by politicians, which of course ended being in detriment of the whole society.
>internet/phone addiction
I would recommend to you "Amusing Ourselves to Death", it talks mostly about books being replaced with television but a lot of it applies too to cellphones and the internet, also has a very good bit about a small part of the history of reading in the USA. It mostly focus on what internet/phone addiction is doing to society in general, and not to the individual, I know you asked for human well being and society falls into that category, but it's better to make this clear before you read it.
Although I never read a "book" on the subject, I've read a lot of scientific articles about "Parasocial Relationships", and I'm sure there must be a book about it, it falls into that category of internet/phone addiction and its consequences.

As for the rest, I don't know.

It's let down somewhat by the over-reliance on film references, but I haven't read a better analysis of the impotence of our current system to address any real problems.

>"The current ruling ontology denies any possibility of a social causation of mental illness. The chemico-biologization of mental illness is of course strictly commensurate with its depoliticization. Considering mental illness an individual chemico-biological problem has enormous benefits for capitalism. First, it reinforces Capital’s drive towards atomistic individualization (you are sick because of your brain chemistry). Second, it provides an enormously lucrative market in which multinational pharmaceutical companies can peddle their pharmaceuticals (we can cure you with our SSRls). It goes without saying that all mental illnesses are neurologically instantiated, but this says nothing about their causation. If it is true, for instance, that depression is constituted by low serotonin levels, what still needs to be explained is why particular individuals have low levels of serotonin. This requires a social and political explanation; and the task of repoliticizing mental illness is an urgent one."
