99% of "great" writers in the western canon would have been complete nobodies if they lived today. Their only achievement was to be born in rich families and have above average IQ in primitive times when most humans were uneducated and unwashed peons and the population was scarce. Someone like Dostoevsky or Kant wouldn't even blip on the radar.
