This is just cognitive dissonance caused by social norms personified. If you hate what the arts have become, and understand that the postmodern ethos is at fault, and that it is also, in a different manifestation, at the root of the modern world and “progress” past the 70s, then you cannot but social progressivism.

>> No.16396376

>>16396346
How so? When it comes to politics I have very strong progressive beliefs, but I'm also convinced that arts cannot and won't change the world, and that politically compromised arts and studies of a political nature (racial, gender, whatever) are trendy, mediocre and prey of their own postures and contradictions. Criticism and the pursue of beauty in art is all that matters. Arts and politics shouldn't mix.

Catholicism is the only branch of christianity reconcilable with Nietzsches elitism. Most of Nietzsches criticism is directed at protestantism anyways, and lets not forget anti-semites are mostly protestants, rarely Catholics (anti-semitism in fascist states was only common in protestant Germany). And who did Nietzsche hate? Exactly, anti-semites.
