You can literally go to literotica and pick any story from the New section and it will probably be better written than this. But Martin is still pretty good if you have the nerves to ignore some of his shitty writing. His competition in the fantasy genre is much worse than him (Brandon Sanderson and Brent Weeks write like nerdy teenagers).
