Is religion the only cure to the absurdity of existence? Philosophy doesn't help at all.

It does, you’re just too retarded to get it.

You’re too retarded to get it I’d be wasting time

no the cure is death, although is a temporary cure since you'll be reborn someday

First of all, thanks for your sincere and well thought-out input.
However, I must ask, how do you explain that most of the greatest philosophers were so despondent? Were they too retarded to get it?

The invention of the Western distinction between religion and philosophy has been a disaster for the human race.

These are what Plato called sophists. He hated them for a reason. I suggest you go back

Philosophy either ends with Nihilism or with the Logos. There is no middle ground

Because humans crave meaning.
Forfeiting the search for meaning is against our very nature.

Pretty sure I'm a human, can't say I ever was interested in that meme. What's even the meaning behind looking for meaning? Why forcing our ideas on reality?

You aren't going to get any help here, just dumb bullshit like this >>16327820. The answer to initial question, at least as far as I have found, is yes, religion is the only thing that will help. It's the only thing that I've found that can bridge the gap to something that can be perceived as objective, and that can provide some kind of comfort regarding mortality. Actually believing in it is the problem.

One can just accept that it's a pointless pursuit and focus on something that actually affects you.

That still involves belief. What I'm trying to say its that at the bottom of infinite regress is always belief

Anything that gives meaning to life is a religion. Christianity, Buddhism, Jainism, Judaism, Islam, Shinto, BLM, Marxism, Sports, whatever.

Wouldn't belief in the practical sense of the word, have some sort of active element to it? Labeling indifference as belief might be technically accurate but is also not too useful to describe the matter.
