b) Don't waste the audience's time.

Almost every Booktube channel is terrible for the same reasons: they waste time on nonsense and didn't put enough work in beforehand. A typical timeline:

- 30 seconds random quirky intro with music
- 20 seconds "My name is X and I like books"
- 1 minute vague floundering around
- 2 minutes mixed opinions and facts with hesitations, corrections, equivocations

e.g. "This is the first fantasy novel from this author I think - he may have written another one earlier but I'm not sure".
