Yes monotheism never made sense. It's a mind trap. You can believe in a supreme creator as well as other gods below him and above man, even in Christianity. They're instead called angels, and attributed a couple of magnitudes less importance relative to their supreme lord compared to those lesser gods in a pagan pantheon. Monotheists talk like it's logically impossible for a supreme god to exist at the same time as a pantheon of gods, which is nonsense. You can try it for yourself right now, the mind is perfectly capable.
From that perspective, Christianity and other Jewish faiths are less so improving innovations to pantheistic religions than they are a cutting away of much that Jews and their allies deem unnecessary for the goyim.
