The reason why Emanation continues down to, and including, absolute Matter. Is because each Sphere/Hypostasis acts as [is] matter to the sphere/hypostasis above itself (image), each sphere being something 'new'/different thus giving something of itself to itself as image and in the process emanating something of itself—and all of this is good—but it's not until Matter that the mirroring is spotless and doesn't add anything to the process; [or alternatively] it is not until Body that the distinction of Matterness in itself as a non-something in itself comes about, by differentiating your Whatness with your Whoness the definiteness of this 'Whatness' is solidified and we first are embodied, into full dualism.
Thus Absolute Matter as absolute differentiation is the true spotless mirror that perfectly reflects, without adding to, the light of the One back to the Good—or alternatively, by not begetting something posterior to itself it prevents the Light of the Heavens from going anywhere but back up—immediately causing forms to never reside in matter perfectly as they do when glorifying the Spheres of Heaven, for there's no quality in Matter to attach itself to Immateriality (only the above can attach itself to the lower), therefore there is Becoming, because there is body without contemplation, or rather: Soul-Body dualism now exists in the first place (this too, in the ultimate end, necessary), the last Quality that being pseudo-Quality. For What-is returns to What-is "instantly", (the instant of Plato’s Parmenides).
Instantiation takes time, like a tree growing to its final potential, once enough of the form is actualized (it is a sin to not try reaching your full potential, which is necessary to not be reborn) the form begins to leave and the reverse process begins (For living things—aging, for all things—entropy, passing). And so there is Was and Is and Will Be.
Of course on the grander scale the Soul of the World and the Cosmic Gods by will perpetually remain hylomorphic, until all time reverses.
But this spotlessness is also one reason some timeless souls confuse the complete image (all of time) with the imager (beyond time), but perhaps it is rather the impression that it is an image that an image becomes.

All Being persists in-between the Indefinite and the Monad. Each is One.

How is this not Monism?

Also do you know what the general take by the Neoplatonists on the state proposed in The Republic? Did they genuinely believe it to be a perfectly devised Republic or did they take it to mean something else? I mean even back then they must have thought that it was some wacky stuff.
