What are some books about the absurdness of political language in the modern world?

I'm after stuff like 'Politics and the English Language' by Orwell

actually it was specifically about literature pertaining to political language

Frankfurt's On Bullshit has good applications for weasel speaking in political discourse

It's basically filibustering at a day to day level. It's also like 50 pages.

but it is a great example of absurd political language though. all they are doing is renaming the police department to a much longer and more childish name, because this will appease the uninformed protesters, most of whom are children. there is no substantial changes being proposed.

which confirms it is pretty much a political topic as you just explained

no, it's a 'community discussion on literature awareness of language related to recent events'

you fucking retard why are you on this board if you are functionally illiterate. have you read the book he said as an example? it would explain exactly what he means. orwell even said words like 'fascism' were meaningless right back in 1946 and it's only gotten worse.

that said, it's not anything particular to politics though obviously with politics you have great interest in using it, it's unfortunately the 'educated' culture in general in the english-language.
