Kevin Solway has a few good reasons:

>Our modern world is largely feminized. Educational institutions are 100% feminized. These days there are hardly any male teachers in primary school, and relatively few in secondary school. The current educational environment is poisonous to the male spirit. Many children in the West are reared only by their mothers, without a father. In our age it is not politically correct to criticize women at all, and there are huge punishments for doing so. All this has a big influence on how the younger generation think.

>Also, the younger generation do not read the great works of literature of the past, such as Weininger, Nietzsche, Kierkegaard, Schopenhauer, etc. They are too busy working, playing computer games, or shopping.

Even so, it seems like every age would probably have at least one great philosopher - even if unrecognized at the time - with Solway most likely being the sage of our current age.

Technological Advancements and Overall Scientific Discoveries have taken over the world so rapidly that no modern philosopher can phantom to write any new revolutionary systems without accounting for many cemented scientific facts. They are doomed to be discredited.
Modern philosophers are therefore none other than scientists. I can no longer respect a so called "philosopher" that has no grasp in mathematics and physics among other relevant scientific fields.

Science also suffers from this to a lesser extend. It is highly unlikely that we will ever see another scientist rise to fame like Einstein did simply because there are so many people working on very specific niche fields, making their discoveries very small in the large scope of things.

The problem is that no man can be proficient in every field. This was different in the old days, where many philosophers were also mathematicians and scientists to the best of their abilities.

I feel like some fields of philosophy are just completely exhausted. Ethics is one of them. There really isn't much between deontology, consequentialism and maybe virtue ethics (a stretch to pretend it even belongs in ethics since it's not action focused). Then there are those that tried to do away with morality all together or at least to remove the motivational forces that underpin all morality, ie Stirner and Nietzsche.
What else is there to say really? I can hardly imagine anything.

The best you can get nowadays are faggot Anglos who overdosed on the utilitarianism pill and think it's your moral duty to live like a poorfag while giving all your money and material goods to niggers in Africa.
Kind of the same way metaphysics as a field is dead, except it died even earlier than ethics because the ideas where exhausted much faster.
