the search for the ego death itself is an act of the ego in reaching a certain standard that he does not posses for exterior aesthetics, meaning to look, seem or act wise.
That is what ego does. It's reaching for something in pursuit of vain self fulfillment that will make them feel and seem superior to others.
Once you fully internalize this, you perhaps can experience something of a self awareness to what you are doing and critical judgement of your actions but still be peaceful and content
At least that was the experience for me personally, I actually don't even know if I have truly experienced "ego death" it could be something else
but that's the general gist.

love. but today love is almost unachievable, you both need to be excommunicated from society, TV, Hollywood, internet. for western man drugs are only option. you can stick meditation up your ass, in order to go inside, within first you need to discover it, regular faggots achieve absolutely nothing with meditation. nirvana is ecstasy, infinite joy, sad boring faggot has no idea what it is to be back like newborn.

Wait wait, are you trying to imply that newborns experience 'ecstasy and infinite joy'??

Rofl, holy cow.

Birth is an extremely traumatic experience and the first few months of your life suck - you mostly spend it recovering and learning to see and move.

Babies return to a more-or-less normal state by month 3.

I'm not sure ego death is the right word, but I think I understand what you mean.

The ego is not something that can be killed. You have to find the true nature of the mind. If you actively search for the mind, you will eventually find out that it is not to be found. Same with the self, it is nowhere to be found. You are awareness but are currently distracted with your illusory self.

It's more like. You're born and your environment tells you a secret from long ago but the secret is incomplete. Your ego tries to complete the secret and other people buy into it by completing the secret with their own ego.

Once you can take relatively more autonomy within your environment you stop letting the environment rearrange you and rather you stand firm and rearrange the environment.

It's ironic that in freedom we stand firm rather than move freely but that's what ego death is. When you cut off the relative/essential familiarity and stare into the abyss, not knowing what's going to come.

The secret then becomes pretension on your part and everyone else around you feels your abysmal pretension since you broke the secret you had with them and they can intuit this because they keep knowing the secret.

I used to be obsessed with the concept of ego death. I think pure ego death has only been reached by people that have suffered near-death experiences and heavy brain trauma, and even then it is a temporary condition that you quickly recover from.

Meditation does not lead to ego death. Even though it gradually detaches you from your thoughts and feelings, the endgame of meditation is to expand your ego and have it cover all of reality. That is why Buddha-nature is universal, you are one with the universe, and so on. The complete void of ego (ego death) is seen as undesirable in buddhism, and a trap to be avoided.

I don't think ego death is a sustainable human experience, nor is there any practice which can lead to ego death, barring brain damage and drugs. We are cursed with awareness, whether we like it or not.

The first time I took mdma I took too much and thought I was dying but decided instead of dealing with it practically to allow God to decide. As soon as I made that decision this portal like entity appeared before me looking exactly like pic related except without christ and it was made of light instead of angels. For the next couple of hours I experienced complete empathetic union with it and was able to speak to it telepathically.

By realizing that there is no ego to die.

>>16071134
>I don't think ego death is a sustainable human experience
As far as I'm aware there are precisely zero Buddhist traditions or schools that believe that a state of sustained egolessness is possible. The ego is real in as much as you are indeed feeling a sense of "I", but just because you're feeling that "I-ness" doesn't mean it's not composite, caused, made of other stuff, etc. Small brains see mountains, midwits don't see mountains, bigbrains see mountains.

look for ego life (synthesis) rather than ego death.
your ego is important facet of holistic identity; killing it off for experiential knowledge seems self-deflationary since the point of your journey was to transcend your ego (heal it and make it better), not kill it.

I'm explaining human psysiology 101, you stupid incel dork.

Being a baby is no fun, at least not until about 12 months old it isn't. But by that time they're pretty much already fully-formed humans with the full set of personality quirks.

Life is toil, even for babies. There's no point in your life when you're truly carefree and irresponsible.

What the Buddha Taught. It's a beginner's intro. If you want to just dive right in, find Red Pine's Heart Sutra commentary. Both are on libgen.

There's a sutta in the Pali Canon specifically about this sort of thing, the sa- something sutta, part of the mahasa- something sutta. It's the one where the Buddha calls a dude "stupid one". What the Buddha Taught cites it as the Mabatanhasamkhaya sutta, but that's an alternative name, it's well known by a better one.
