He spends 99% of the book talking about art, psychology, fucking gay ass Buddhism. There's a mescalin trip at the beginning the essay but he only spends a paragraph or two describing the actual trip, and the way it reads you would think he was describing marijuana edibles or some shit, which is unfortunate because mescalin is a profound experience just a step down from DMT.

I mean there's one area of the book where Aldous closes his eyes and describes what he is seeing as "cheap." This man has fucking autism evidenced by the fact that a drug super potent for neurotypicals has a "cheap" effect on Huxley.

His intellectual understanding of drugs is spot on but his ability to experience them is hampered by his shrunken right hemisphere, and swollen left hemisphere (of the brain).
