can you recommend anything that's not too long? I've just finished with a social analysis that's around 500 pages, there's nothing that justifies such a long rant

Chomsky has always been the CIA's safe-to-endorse leftist. Back during the days of the Vietnam War, Chomsky told people that the only way to oppose the war was to let the government arrest you for refusing to go. So because you refuse to go kill innocent people, you should "protest" by getting thrown in jail? Yeah, I remember how the Founders fought back the British by protesting and getting arrested. Or how the Black Panthers totally just did peaceful protests and never showed up bearing arms to force the government to give them their rights.
HMMMM, I wonder why this figure that endorses complete submission to the government remained a professor for many years while the CIA assassinated every dissident that was anti-government whether left or right.
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Yeah, you're right, I remember that part where the CIA totally never assassinated MLK, or JFK, or Malcolm X, in fact they worked around the clock to stop them, haha. BASED CIA KEEPING BURGERS SAFE poggers

Chomsky is safe insofar as his arguments are too difficult to grasp for a layman, and so most of the time they come off as crazy conspiracy theorist ideas. Manufacturing consent is a great book and helped me realise how shitty the US government is (though I always had my suspicions).

Do you realize how dumb you sound saying this? Every goddamned person on Twitter and 4chan has read Chomsky. You don't need any background knowledge or training to understand him. This isn't fucking Deleuze or Adorno. His writing is very down to earth and approachable. I'm not even saying this as a bad thing but the idea that he isn't the layman's philosopher when he's quite literally the go-to leftist for most people in America is insane.

They're difficult to grasp because they aren't what most people are being fed 24/7. You need more than a 5 minute segment for Chomsky's arguments to sound like something more than conspiracy whackjob bullshit. The layman doesn't have a 5 minute attention span, let alone one required to read through his arguments. I should have articulated that better.

I'd bet more people on 4chan have read him than his twitter fanbase.

I find Adorno pretty easy to read. He hated on Heidegger and the frenchies who were influenced by him for making a self-referential jargon that was only there to obfuscate.
