I'm trying to detach myself from everything that is in one way or another influenced or driven by United States corporate, state/military and public interests.
Letting individuals inside your head, giving them a 'carte blanche' to wreck havoc within you, is one thing.
Having the consciousness of 300 million people, amalgamation of self-destructive, schizophrenic identities, political, ethnic or sexual affiliations, ethical and moral philosophies, it is too much.
So give me books and poetry!
All of it has to go, there is no chance of rest, unless I can purge all of it.
The damage that's already done may be irreversible, but only if the flow of information is cut to a halt. I've deleted all my social media, stopped using personalized chatting programs, cut down on other media consumption, but what do I do next?
Obviously 4chan must be also removed, but I'm simply not there yet.
I'm in an endless maze of mirrors and they reflect boundless amounts of insanity, carnage and animosity towards the world.
I cannot stop it, but I hope I'm able to push it back for a moment.
God knows it will wash over my shores eventually.

Have you stopped looking at the news? And by news, I mean all newspapers, magazines, radio programs, YouTube programs, and so on. All of it has to go.

Yes, I don't even own a TV.
Removed all political or news related channels from my YouTube feed and have used less time in watching entertainment of that sort in general.
I just need to actually fill that time with something real.

What's your specialty? What are you most interested in?
Without knowing that, the only advice I can give you is "Just read." Pick literally anything that piques your interest and read it. Don't worry about depth of understanding, don't worry about "preparation," don't even worry about the fact that you dislike the general political project in which the author was engaged. Just read.

I have no idea what the military is like where you are, but I doubt that that would've been the correct decision.
You will need to create order for yourself, but that also means creating order in your personal relationships. If your relations are not in order, or if you are spending time with people who you neither like nor respect, you will feel weak and undermined. That might be part of your problem.
