I've my theory about it:

There are many studies confirming that the cerebral cortex is less dominant in women. The notion that this part of the brain is necessary for being "human" proved by recent theory of integrated information, confirming that the difference between the conscious you when awake and between the unconscious "you" when asleep is the way neural information harmonized in the cerebral cortex, the verdict was that system neural harmonization can only happen when you're awake, conscious. So you make the association that the more dominant the cerebral cortex is in someone life the more conscious he's, and because previous studies showed that women lack in this department relative to men on average you can say they embody less consciousness hence less human (if less consciousness="less human").

In the literal sense? As in the cerebral cortex is notably smaller in women on average? Do you have a link to an academic journal or something that backs up your claims
