its a nice little thing i picked up from epcot in disney world from my last trip there. in the german section theres a nice little gift shop with a bunch of things, along with (more expensive) beersteins with chunks of the berlin wall glued on but i thought it was tacky. so i got this cool one with the eagle on it, in black. here's where it is now, with the two polandball plushies i have. big fan of those comics.

I like to go with by size. You never have to think, just hold the new book up To where it’s size would fit, and throw it in. The books on the ends of the shelves then move accordingly. Also kind of fun to never see a bunch of the same author next to each other. It makes your collection look like a used bookstore

I sort by theme and than the authors together, the remaining wiggle room is to omehow colour and size coordinator, to make it look more aesthetic. But for that you need a couple hundred book first.

I just separate different types of books. If all the short story collections are together it is easier to choose one, same theory with non fiction of different types. Some of my shelves are double stacked so if I don't organize it somewhat I have to search everywhere every time I want to look at something in a book.

Thanks anon. No, I don't generally wear the pith helmet while reading. I got it as part of a halloween costume a long time ago, but will occasionally still wear it when gardening on hot days (you soak it in water before wearing, and then it as the water evaporates it helps cool you down). It is pretty ridiculous looking but it works.
