I’m sure in a century or so, it will be clear who will have given us a proper analysis of any facet of now, but at the present time, it has become impossible to analyse without ideology and be published.

The neoliberals and the progressives, the former permitting all through capitalism and the latter validating it, has made it nearly impossible to take a critical stance on anything, which makes most of the necessary information we need to gain a true retrospective completely inaccessible.

It will only be apparent to the generations after us which ones slipped through the cracks and spoke the truth.

Good question. Pelevin today is the basest russian writer. The book does have some cultural quirks, slang, so I am not sure if there's a good translation, I just guess there had to be. Anyway he presents in his book quite interesting perspective on modern society. There's a russian movie, really funny. Fuck, it has so much russian irony.
