A lot of what Peterson has said is outright wrong, and at best, one side to a bigger picture. He blames his drug addiction on a made-up "auto-immune" problem he thinks he has because his daughter has it and he's secretly in love with her.

I've seen the latest interview and the man has learned absolutely nothing. He's still an echo chamber of his own opinions.

I like him, but he's essentially a tired, old, conservative christian with good oratory skills and a way of communicating with young people.

His biggest problem is that he has a laughably incomplete education in philosophy, particularly the philosophy of science and language, and he seems to believe that if he thinks something is true, and he gathers enough evidence which supports his claim, and he can articulate it well, then it is true, and that is "the best thing anyone can hope to do" which is outright wrong. He strawmans his opponents and is incapable of learning anything new.

I'm actually really disappointed in him lately. I hope he will open his mind and escape his own intellectual narcisissm and learn something for a change. His poor wife.

I enjoyed Peterson’s content when I was in college, but it has become pretty obvious to me now that a lot of his “thought” is an outgrowth of his depression. The way he justifies IQ is a cope for himself, the way he is interested in the “utility of religion” is another cope, the way he maintains the status quo, believes in liberal democracy, Western rationality are more copes. And one of the reason why he speaks with such authority and righteousness is because he isn’t just speaking to his audience, he is trying to convince himself too. He mainlines these ideas to make himself feel comfortable, presumably in a similar fashion to his benzo shots.

He is a man who criticizes ideology yet is trapped so much in his own logical ideology of truth, enlightenment, the West. He is another victim of humanity, a victim of the mind. I am very convinced that if he was at peace, nobody would even know who he was.

I like him a lot, his psych adv has more weight than most & actively have a very positive influence, philo & politics are something you get forced into whenever you're a public figure nowadays and for the most part he has been consistent and clear in his views and reasoning, while being a strong opposition of the 2 of the 3 main echo chambers at the moment which is refreshing.

It's unfortunate that people are dismissing everything he's done & said because he now has a drug problem, which is understandable considering his situation & the pressure he's under. I'm suprised he didnt slip up sooner. Hypocrisy should be noted but it's not a valid stance to dismiss any views, yet alone petersons, and for the most part his videos have proven to have a very positive impact on huge quantities of people, from simply resonating deeply & allowing re-evaluation all the way to setting them on the path to active change.

Peterson censors himself and avoids important subjects in order to stay in the limelight.
