Okay, it starts

"Aaron had seen it all. He worked in a bar for the first 5 years of his post-21 year old existence and because of this, he could pick out a troublemaker from across the room. Luckily, he wasn't working tonight, or at least, not in the bar that he was currently in, drinking an old fashioned neat."

what's the title?
I wish you'd do more for establishing the scene :)

You're rushing, try to take the intro part of the story slower by making it a couple pages longer. Experiment with building a world first then introducing the character. Not the other way around.

writing a novel is easy and hard at the same time, like jacking off

I've been thinking about writing a novel. I need to figure out a few things though to establish the setting and parameters.

I can still remember the pure joy I felt when I began mine. All skies open, neither limitations nor obstacles: a instant of freedom.

But then you have to start building a plot, be coherent with the previous chapters, stay loyal to your characters, and the horizon gets inevitably smaller and smaller...

It hurts.
